Hi, I’m Jessica—the maker, artist, and imagination behind Little Willow Wisp.
Creativity has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been drawn to making things with my hands, and over the years that curiosity has led me from one craft to another. I love sewing, embroidery, crochet, cross stitch, illustration, and simply experimenting with something new whenever inspiration strikes.
Some of that love for handmade things has roots in my family, too. My grandmother was a talented quilter, and I grew up appreciating the time, patience, and love that can be stitched into something made by hand. I still hope to follow in her footsteps someday and create intricate quilts of my own.
I’m also a mom, which has brought a whole new kind of imagination and wonder into my life. In fact, “Willow” holds a particularly special place in my heart. Combined with my fascination with the mysterious will-o’-the-wisp of folklore, it eventually became Little Willow Wisp—a name that brings together several things that are meaningful to me without taking itself too seriously.
Little Willow Wisp has become a home for all of my creative interests and the whimsical ideas that inspire them. My work is influenced by nostalgia, nature, folklore, storytelling, and my belief that growing up doesn’t mean we have to stop finding a little magic in the world around us.
I’m never quite sure what I’ll be inspired to make next—and I think that’s part of the fun.
